The House of Representatives has passed on third and final reading House Bill No. 7752 or the Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) Act, which aims to address the growing needs of the province and its neighboring areas, such as having greater capacity for developmental planning, transportation management, solid waste disposal and management, flood control, land use planning, health and sanitation, disaster response, and public safety.
Bataan Second District Rep. Abet Garcia said the bill was prompted by the expected economic boom once the Bataan Cavite Interlink Bridge (BCIB) is completed, as well as other changes brought about by the programs and projects being implemented. The bill will now be formally endorsed to the Senate for the necessary legislative process. Congressman Abet Garcia expressed his gratitude to 3rd District Representative Cong. Gila Garcia, and Pusong Pinoy Partylist Representative Jernie Jett Nisay, who joined him as principal authors of the bill. They assured the public that they will continue to push for bills that are beneficial to everyone. They also thanked them for their continued cooperation. The post MBDA Act passes third reading in House of Representatives appeared first on 1Bataan.
